True Strength: A Discourse in Lisle, Illinois
Several hundred attendees from different parts of the world gathered at the Science of Spirituality International Meditation Center this afternoon for Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj’s Sunday discourse.
Expounding on the virtues of being calm and peaceful, the spiritual Master explained that it is those who can control their anger that exhibit true strength. Greater than any physical feat is the ability to control our anger, forgive, and stay calm in the face of adversity. To be calm and peaceful, we first have to understand the purpose for which we are alive. When we gain this higher perspective, we recognize ourselves as soul and understand the importance of making the most of this human birth so we can reunite our soul with God.
Through meditation, we can go beyond the physical to experience that which is spiritual; we are able to connect with our real self and connect with the inner Light and Sound of God. When we remain calm and peaceful, we do our part to contribute positively to the environment around us.
