Weave a Cocoon of Peace through Meditation
How can we reach a state in which the turmoil and difficulties of the world around us do not disturb our peace? Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj explained that interactions with others can be disruptive when we have disagreements or engage in intellectual wrangling. To find peace in these situations, we need to tap into the calm we experience through meditation.
The key is to experience such tremendous joy in meditation that we are oblivious to the turmoil around us. Just as indoor air conditioning can help keep us cool and comfortable despite high temperatures outside, so can meditation keep us peaceful and calm as we deal with the outer world.
We have to learn, said Sant Rajinder Singh, to be in a spiritual, meditative cocoon that helps us remain in a state of bliss and joy after we finish meditating. The more we practice, he said, the more we will enjoy deeper states of consciousness that protect us from distractions that interfere with our state of peace and calm.
