As Within, So Without: Lisle, Illinois
This evening, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj used the analogy of a building to explain how, no matter the outer façade, a building will not stand for too long if its foundation is not strong. Similarly, our foundation is on the inside. If we are not strong, stable, happy, content, and peaceful on the inside, we cannot hope to be so on the outside, he said.
Stability on the inside comes from finding our connection with God, and this happens as we spend time with ourselves in meditation. Once we are stable and happy on the inside, our life on the outside will automatically become calm, peaceful, and stable. As we meditate, we not only strengthen our foundation, but we also awaken to the purpose of our existence, and our interconnectedness with all living forms.
