Darshan Academies Reach 25-Year Milestone
This evening, distinguished guests, international delegates, students, parents, teachers, and staff gathered at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium in Delhi to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Darshan Academy.
The Academy is the flagship initiative of Darshan Education Foundation (DEF). DEF was established in 1995 by Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj as a platform for a peaceful world through education. Today, there are 23 Darshan Academy schools in India and South America.
In his keynote address as Founder and Chairman of Darshan Education Foundation, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji explained how true education seeks to nurture not only the mind and body but also the human spirit. In helping today’s younger generations acquire the blueprint and tools they need to realize their fullest potential, we help them become the builders of a better tomorrow.
The unique curriculum of Darshan Academy harmoniously blends a regular academic syllabus with ethical and spiritual development, and students begin their day with meditation. They attend classes on critical thinking, time management, decision-making, and peaceful conflict resolution with a strong focus on academics, enriched with sports and physical education. Volunteer activities encourage selfless service. Practical life skills are honed with the goal of preparing students to navigate life’s challenges and thrive in the world beyond graduation.
Distinguished speakers at this gala event included the Ambassador of Denmark in New Delhi; the Vice Chancellor, North Eastern Hill University (Shillong, India); and the High Commissioner of the High Commission of Trinidad and Tobago Republic.
