Today, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj spoke of the wonders of inner space that await us, and that when experienced can help us lead our lives in the way they should be led.
Ever since humans arrived on earth, we have looked to the night sky with wonderment. Immense resources are used each year in the quest for knowledge of outer space because it is human nature to be enamored with distant lands. In our pursuit to connect with the wonders of outer space, we have lost our human connections on earth, drifting away from family, friends, and neighbors, unaware of the pain and sorrow that dwells in the hearts of those around us. With this movement toward leading separate lives, our strength as a human community is reduced.
This is the story of our times, but not how we were meant to live. Instead, said the spiritual Master, we need to “Be Conscious. Be Connected. Be Caring,” recalling the quote that he shared with the world a few weeks ago. How do we get to a conscious state and experience our true form as soul? We can do so when we take our attention away from the world outside and focus it within through meditation.
In meditation, we journey into the spiritual realms of inner space that reside within, and we connect with the love and Light of God, which fills us with joy, happiness, and bliss. As we experience our relationship with God, we feel connected to God and no longer feel alone in this world. We begin to see how all living beings are also connected to God, and it is then that we embrace our connection with each other. A transformation occurs and we become caring human beings, seeking to bring joy wherever we go, helping and sharing in the pain of others. If we are to make the most of our human birth, we need to live as God intended for us to live. We need to focus on the wonders of inner space so we can experience God’s love and Light, be connected to God and to each other, and help one another as we move steadily toward God.
