In his web broadcast today, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj spoke of experiencing the beauty of the inner spiritual regions and of connecting with God’s love through meditation.
During the season of autumn, when the leaves on the trees turn beautiful shades of orange, red, and yellow, we enjoy the beauty of nature and wonder about the handiwork of God. This beauty, seen by the outer eyes, is of the outer world and is but a pale reflection of the beauty of the inner world.
The inner regions can be perceived only by the inner eye, said the spiritual Master. Saints come to remind us of the beauty, bliss, and joy that await us in these inner worlds that exist within. They help us understand that we have all the tools we need to experience the inner spiritual world.
Long before the advent of metals, the native inhabitants of North America skillfully employed the natural resources of fire and stone to, layer by layer, work through the bark of trees to cut them. We too need to utilize the resources we have been given to, step by step, make progress on the inner journey.
On the spiritual path, our tool is the process of meditation, said Sant Rajinder Singh Ji. Through the technique of stilling our body and mind and focusing our attention within, we can embark on the spiritual journey to experience the inner Light of God. Connecting with this Light fills us with peace, bliss, love, joy, and happiness. It nourishes the soul which has been parched from eons of separation from its Source. When we experience our closeness to God and are imbued in God’s everlasting love, we find lasting happiness.
