Today, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj spoke about developing the right perspective in life. As dwellers of this physical world, we believe it to be the only reality, he said. We perceive things based on our limited knowledge and scope of vision and assume whatever inputs we receive through our five senses of sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch are all there is. Yet, saints and mystics tell us there are spiritual realms beyond the physical—regions of divine beauty, consciousness, and enlightenment.

We are unaware of the joy and bliss that await us within because we are attached to the outer world. We should be experiencing the inner spiritual regions, yet our mind weighs us down; it enchants and engages us in the world’s sights and sounds. As we adjust our perspective on life and partake of the Light of God within through meditation, our soul reveals itself.
