This evening, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj spoke about the joys of the coming holiday season; a season of sharing, caring and giving. It is in giving to others that we receive, he said. Living in this physical world of time, space, and matter, governed by the laws of the physical world, this may be counter to what we believe. However, there is a law beyond the physical laws and that is the spiritual law. Though hidden to our physical senses, this law dictates that when we give to others what we have been given in abundance, and when we do so with no expectation of reward, we in fact receive much more. It is when we focus our attention in the spiritual arena, through meditation, that we begin to experience and recognize these spiritual laws. We become more aware of God’s presence in our lives, our faith is strengthened and we are able to ease into the stillness that leads us into the inner spiritual realms.
