This weekend, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj joined the online global audience to celebrate the 127th birth anniversary of Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj (1894-1974), which falls on February 6th. Paying tribute to the life, love, and legacy of Sant Kirpal Singh Ji, the spiritual Master described how we can celebrate his life by living his teachings.

From a young age, Sant Kirpal Singh Ji was filled with love for all life—human, animal, or the plant kingdom—and had a keen sense of oneness for all as members of the same family of God. His vision for human integration and unity later manifested in his serving as president of the World Fellowship of Religions.

In 1974, he founded and presided over the first Human Unity Conference, which brought people from all walks of life, faiths, cultures, and nationalities together with the goal of realizing the commonality of all faiths and our oneness at the level of the soul. Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj stated that, in 2010, the United Nations passed a resolution to declare the first week of February World Interfaith Harmony Week.

Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj gave us a blueprint for how to lead our lives so that we may fulfill the purpose for which we were sent to this world. He encouraged us to “Be Good. Do Good. Be One,” and taught us to inculcate ethical virtues in our lives, to be of selfless service to all, and to meditate regularly so that we can realize our unity and oneness with all of God’s Creation.
