We have to overcome anger, lust, greed, attachment, and ego. All these qualities are contrary to love. — H. H. Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj
Meditation is the surest way to spiritual growth. This goal is not metaphorical or based on feelings or suppositions. It is a matter of personal, verifiable experience. The meditation technique taught by Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj leads to a progressive unfolding of the higher self, with concrete goals and milestones along the way. Saints and Masters describe the soul as a drop of God. Through bringing the soul to a point in the body known as the seat of the soul, it contacts the stream of Light and Sound.
The Creative Vibration
This Light and Sound is the creative vibration that emanated from the Creator and brought creation into being. It created the physical universe, earth, human beings, and all forms of life. This power of God which flows out from God also returns to God. When the soul is withdrawn to the third eye, located between and behind the two eyebrows, it can travel on the Light and Sound through the higher regions back to its Source, the purely spiritual realm. The process by which the soul is brought into contact with the current of Light and Sound reverberating within is meditation.
The outer expression of the soul is the attention which is scattered throughout our body and exits into the world through the five senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. To be aware of the inner Light and Sound we have to withdraw our attention from the world outside and collect it at the seat of the soul. Meditation is withdrawing our attention from the outer world and focusing it at the third eye, the point at which we see the inner Light.
